Common signs include squealing or grinding noises when braking, vibration in the brake pedal or steering wheel, longer stopping distances, brake pedal feels soft or spongy, or the vehicle pulls to one side when braking. Most modern vehicles also have brake wear indicators that trigger a warning light. We recommend inspection every 20,000 km or annually.

Brake pad life varies greatly depending on driving style, vehicle weight, and conditions. In Dubai's stop-and-go traffic, front pads typically last 30,000-50,000 km, rear pads longer. Aggressive driving, heavy vehicles, or mountainous terrain reduces life. We'll check pad thickness during any service and let you know when replacement is approaching.

Not necessarily. If rotors are within spec thickness and have no deep grooves or cracks, they can be resurfaced and reused. However, many modern rotors are thin and can only be resurfaced once. If rotors are at or below minimum thickness, or if resurfacing would take them below spec, replacement is required. We measure and advise honestly.

Ceramic pads are quieter, produce less dust, and are gentler on rotors - ideal for daily driving. Semi-metallic pads offer better performance under heavy use and high heat - better for towing, spirited driving, or heavy vehicles. We'll recommend the right type based on your vehicle and how you use it.

We recommend brake fluid flush every 2 years regardless of mileage. Brake fluid is hygroscopic - it absorbs moisture from the air over time. This moisture lowers the boiling point and can cause brake fade under heavy use. In Dubai's humid climate, regular fluid changes are especially important for maintaining safe, responsive brakes.
